Petition to Robert Rodriguez to adapt Gustav Meyrink's Der Golem to film, to expressionist gothic noir.Rodriguez should have been first choice to direct James Ellroy's The Black Dahlia, but somehow Brian de Palma (yawn) got the job. David Fincher would have been acceptable, David Lynch another ideal contender. Meh.
Meanwhile, as Bibi points out, the 1920 film The Golem is available for download at archive.org
